Messe chrismale 2022

April 13, 2022Mardi, le 12 avril 2022, Mgr Jodoin a présidée la célébration de la messe chrismale en la cathédrale du Sacré-Coeur de Bathurst. Mgr Jodoin a bénit l'huile des catéchumènes et l'huile des malades et a consacré le saint Chrême; et pour la première fois cette année, il a bénit de l'huile de Sainte Anne pour le sanctuaire Ste-Anne-du-Bocage.
Pendant la célébration il a souligné les prêtres jubilaires de cette année :- Père Edmond Richard (65 ans);
- Père Zoël Saulnier (65 ans);
- Père Émile Godin (60 ans);
- Père Jean-Paul Chiasson, I.V. Dei (55 ans);
- Father T. Gregory Culligan (50 ans);
- Père Edmond Thériault (40 ans);
- Père David Ferguson (30 ans);
- Père Gilbert Augustin Rasamimanana, O.M.I. (20 ans);
- Père Jean Bosco Gatera, RCJ (5 ans);
- Father Anthony Umunna, SMMM (5 ans).
Père Régent Landry, vicaire général du diocèse, a aussi voulu souligner que notre évêque célébrera son 30e anniversaire sacerdotal en octobre prochain!
Mgr Jodoin a ensuite fait la bienvenue aux nouveaux prêtres dans diocèse :- Père Jean Bosco Gatera, RCJ;
- Père Paulin Clovis Fodjou Wamba, RCJ;
- Père Gilbert Augustin Rasamimanana, O.M.I..
Lors de la présentation des offrandes, Mgr Jodoin a prit un moment moment afin de commémorer le 100e anniversaire de la fondation des Filles Marie-de-l'Assomption.
Ce fût une très belle célébration diocésaine!
On Tuesday, April 12, 2022, Bishop Jodoin presided over the celebration of the Chrism Mass at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Bathurst. Msgr Jodoin blessed the oil of catechumens and the oil of the sick and consecrated the holy Chrism; he also, for the first time, blessed the Saint Anne oil for the Ste-Anne-du-Bocage shrine.
During the celebration he highlighted this year's Jubilee priests :- Père Edmond Richard (65 ans);

During the presentation of the offerings, Msgr Jodoin took a moment to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Filles Marie-de-l'Assomption.
It was a beautiful diocesan celebration!
