Our bishop, Msgr. Daniel Jodoin, will proceed to the blessing of the animals on Sunday, June 11, at 3 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Bathurst.  This blessing reminds us that animals are created by God to be loved and respected.  By this blessing, the church recognizes that these animals are important in God’s eyes.  For many, an animal becomes a faithful companion and as such a sign of God’s compassion and comfort in times of health and sickness.  Invitation to bring your dogs, cats, and other animals to this blessing.
