Today, our Bishop has published a pastoral letter about faith entitled “When the Son of man comes, will he find any faith on earth?”. You may read this letter on the Diocese website as well as access it through the Diocese Facebook page. May this pastoral letter motivate us all to become more and more witnesses of faith in our entourage, thus answering to the mission that Christ our Lors has confided to us.

You will find below a few pictures of the steeple and the bells that will soon be installed at the Saint-Paul church in Bas-Caraquet.

The steeple that will soon be erected in front of the church will be 50 feet high with a luminous 12 foot cross, an identical reproduction of the one that once stood on the old church. The bells will also be illuminated in the evening.

The three (3) bells that will soon be installed in the steeple of the church were made in France by the Bollé Company in 1955. They are high quality bronze bells with the following specifications:

Zone 5 has been put into the Orange Phase until further notice. This affects three of our parishes :

  • Marie-de-l’Assomption Parish which includes the Christian communities of Campbellton and Val d’Amours
  • Saint-Joseph, serviteur fidèle Parish which includes the Christian communities of Dalhousie, Balmoral, Charlo and Dundee/Eel River Crossing
  • The Good Shepherd parish which includes the Christian communities of Belledune, Lorne, Campbellton, Dalhousie and Glen Levit

At the last general assembly of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops, our Bishop was elected president of the Committee on Liturgy and Sacraments (French sector) for the next three years. He was also appointed member of the Committee for the dissemination of liturgical celebrations. We congratulate him and wish him good luck in these new tasks entrusted to him.

Here is a small peak at the stained glass windows that have already been installed in the new Saint Paul church in Bas-Caraquet.
