From the Bishop's Office on this 13th of March 2019

March 7, 2019. The Saint-Pierre parish, including the Christian communities of Notre-Dame-des-Flots (Lamèque), Saint-Antoine-de-Padoue (Miscou), St. Pie X (Pigeon Hill), Sainte-Cécile (Petite-Rivière-de-l'Île) and Saint-Raphaël (Sainte-Marie-Saint-Raphaël) welcomed Father Anthony Onwubuariri and Father Hansel Nwachukwuoji for an intensive internship in French.
March 7, 2019. Following a meeting of the members of the Diocesan Diaconate Committee, Bishop Jodoin accepted their recommendation to respond positively to the request of Mr. Chris Kingston to receive the rite of acolytat, a step in his journey to become a permanent deacon in the diocese. A celebration will take place for this purpose soon.
March 8, 2019. Bishop Jodoin appointed Father Maurice Frenette for a three-year term as Chaplain to the Knights of Columbus Council 8189 in Beresford.
March 10, 2019. At the 11:00 am celebration at the Cathedral, Bishop Jodoin made the decisive presentation of Mrs. Odette Dah from Burkina Faso, a 23-year-old mother with two children, living in Bathurst and Aimé-Jandry. Koné, an 18-year-old student from Côte d'Ivoire, also residing in Bathurst.
March 12, 2019. Father Jozef Humenansky of the Congregation of the Rogationist Fathers, Superior of the Quasi Province of Africa of St. Joseph, is presently in our Diocese. He is visiting from March 12 to March 17, 2019 to consider future pastoral collaboration with us.
