Blessing of animals : Our Bishop, Msgr Daniel Jodoin, will bless animals during a special celebration on Sunday, June 16 at 3pm at the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Bathurst. This blessing reminds us that animals are creatures of God, and must be respected and loved. By this blessing the Church recognizes that these animals have great worth in eyes of the Lord. For many, an animal becomes an important presence that brings tenderness, support and relieves suffering. All are invited to bring their dogs, cats and other domestic animals to this special celebration.
