On Sunday, June 28 2020
, Msgr Jodoin welcomed 4 young adults from different Christian Communities. These young adults had followed the Diocese’s French RCIA program and asked to receive their Baptism, their Confirmation and their First Eucharist. The celebration took place at the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Bathurst. We present to you :

  • Émilie LeBouthillier (Rivière-du-Portage)
  • Henrietta Sena Hangnanmey (Cotonou, Bénin)
  • Marc Brideau (Tracadie)

National Collections
The CCCB Permanent Council has reviewed the frequency of the designated collections for this fall. It has been decided that they will proceed as planned. Here are the dates :

  • Sunday, September 13th, 2020 : The Needs of the Church in the Holy Land (Good Friday’s collection, postponed by the Holy See)
  • Sunday, September 27th, 2020 : The Needs of the Church in Canada
  • Sunday, October 4th, 2020 : The Pope’s Pastoral Works (6th Sunday of Easter collection, postponed by the Holy See)
  • Sunday, October 25th, 2020 : World Mission Sunday

News of our priests
We recommend to your prayers, Mr Godwin Aloo, who passed away in Nigeria at the age of 81. Mr. Aloo was the father of Rev. Peter who resides at the rectory in Inkerman and who assists with pastoral works for the Saint-André parish.
