For this week's NEWSLETTER, a message, translated for you, from the Diocese Liturgy Service representative. Included as well is a celebration booklet.

April 29,  2020

Dear fellow priests, religious brothers and sisters of our Diocesan Church,
Last Saturday, Bishop Jodoin announced the CCCB's invitation, to consecrate our country to Mary, Mother of the Church, on Friday, May 1st, in communion with the bishops of Italy and of the United States.

Yesterday afternoon, we received the ritual and the special prayer to recite for this consecration act. Priests, families, religious groups, communities, each baptizes person, everyone is encouraged to join the Bbishop of their Ddiocese, in faithful unity and prayer, during these particular times we are living.

So as to unite with the greatest number of faithful within the Diocese for this Consecration Act, Bishop Jodoin will make this gesture during next Sunday's Mass, May 3rd, in Caraquet. The Mass will be broadcasted on the radio at 94,1 fm CKLE CJVA as well as Live on the Diocese of Bathurst Facebook page

I therefore send you this ritual booklet that can be integrated into the celebration of the 4th Sunday of Easter (World Day of Prayer for Vocations), always without the physical presence of the People of God. Through our parish bulletin and our various social networks, let us assure to inform our Communities and invite them to join this great expression of filial trust. Let us express our love and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary at the start of this month, which is traditionally dedicated to her. Pope Francis has just published a letter addressed to all the faithful where he invites everyone to pray the rosary at home and also offered two prayers to recite at its conclusion.

May Mary, Star of the Sea accompany you!

Your bother in Christ the servant,

Jean-Marc Guérette, priest
